How to properly reconnect to socket.io?

When the tab hangs inactive for a long time, I noticed that the connection with socket.io disappears on the page.
I set the io({forceNew: true}) parameter to the input - but it doesn't help, there is no new connection.
Perhaps someone has come across this?
