I needed to add photo sorting. Made changes to models/image and behaviors/ImageBehave. Everything works as I need. The question is how to redefine it correctly? When I update, I understand that everything will be overwritten ...

When updating what? module? Then either disable its update or make a clone of yourself in github and use it. Just redefinition does not guarantee that your code will work correctly after the update.
