How to properly organize the translation of documentation?

I wanted to translate the susy documentation http://susydocs.oddbird.net/en/latest/ , which is on github, but I didn’t figure out how to organize all this correctly.
Add another translation folder? But how to introduce the susydocs.oddbird.net/en/latest service to the Russian version?
I also came across a similar service readthedocs.org
If someone knows something, help, advise how to properly organize translations of documentation so that others can add their own translations, make adjustments to existing ones and so that search engines find them.

Fork the repository, make a branch with Russian translation and commit to it. Pull requests will be sent to you. And in office make an issue to the repository, in which write that you, through heroic efforts in the field of linguistics, dressed their meager docks in the great and mighty Russian language. As a rule, the authors of. repositories simply add (or ask for a pull request) a link to versions in other languages.

Has there been a translation? or is it all gone?
