How to properly license the resources for the game?

Good afternoon! Please tell me how to properly license the resources used in the application? In particular, I am concerned about the following question: I am developing a game for android, I found music that I really liked and that I would like to use in the game, but I don’t know how to get a license. Those. I know the name of the songwriter but I don't know what to do next. Should I try to contact him directly, or are there any resources to help me get a music license? And if I agree with the author to grant a license, in what form should I receive confirmation of the license? Will an email from the author with the approval of the use of his song be enough, or is something else needed?
Thanks for the help!

If you know the author of the music track you are interested in, contact him and find out who owns the rights to it. If the author himself - it would be best to conclude a license agreement with him to give you the right to use the music you are interested in.
If the author is no longer the copyright holder of such music, then it is necessary to find out who he is and conclude an agreement with him.
Just a written consent by e-mail from the author will not be enough, because. in the event of any conflict, it will hardly be possible to prove that the consent was obtained from the author - after all, the letter is unlikely to be accompanied by the author's electronic signature, and if he suddenly says that "the mail address is mine, but it was not me who wrote the consent", then you are unlikely to be able to prove at all that you received consent from the author to use the music.
So make a deal.
