How to properly install angular2?

Hello!
Actually, the main question is in the title.
I know that it can be installed using npm. But what's next? how to be in production? also include ng2 from node_modules ?
Maybe I do not understand something or understand but not correctly?
I would be very grateful for your help!
PS I have not been familiar with angular until now. Now there is a need to implement a RESTful API.
For this, it was decided to do it on a bunch of Symfony3 + angular2.
