How to properly inherit a bundle?

Good afternoon, in the bundle (`cronos-bundle`, MIT license) you need to redefine the command. How to do it right, copy the entire bundle to /src/ and edit as you want?

Or inherit the command and do what you want? The network says that it is better not to inherit, otherwise suddenly changes will come, and everything will fly.
