How to properly include components from bootstrap-vue.js?

I have a small php site using bootstrap4 and vue.js. I needed to install a slider (many sliders with products on one page). The bootstrap slider works great, but I thought it might be better to get rid of jquery and bootstrap.js since I'm using vue.js.

I’m new to vue, I’ll be grateful for an explanation (on the site I saw a lot of terms that I don’t understand, I don’t quite understand how it works). It would also be interesting to understand how these components are built and work.
