How to properly implement Citrix Xenserver 6.2 and Multipathing?
Hello!
Currently there are
2 Dell R720 servers with 4 ports
1 port - vlan130 - 192.168.130.1 - 192.168.130.2
2 port - vlan131 - 192.168.131.1 - 192.168.131.2
3 port - vlan132 - 192.168.132.1 - 192.16
port vlan133 - 192.168.133.1 - 192.168.133.2
1 Dell MD3200i storage system with two controllers 4 ports each (8 in total) - and a total of 2 LUNs
1 port - vlan130 - 192.168.130.101 - 192.168.130.102
2 port - vlan131 -8.13.102 192.168.131.102
3 port - vlan132 - 192.168.132.101 - 192.168.132.102
4 port - vlan133 - 192.168.133.101 - 192.168.133.102
1 switch Dell PowerConnect 6224 - 24 port
on switch 13 vlan 4
8 of 8 path active (8 iSCSI sessions) - on each host
Is it possible and worth switching to this mode:
2 Dell R720 servers with 4 ports
1 port - bonded 1 and 2
2 port - bonded 1 and 2
3 port - vlan130 - 192.168.130.1 - 192.168.130.2
4 port - vlan131 - 192.168.131.1 - 192.168.131.2
1 Dell MD3200i storage system with two controllers 4 ports each (8 in total) - and a total of 2 LUNs
1 port - vlan130 - 192.168.130 130.102
2 port - VLAN131 - 192.168.131.101 - 192.168.131.102
3 port - VLAN130 - 192.168.130.103 - 192.168.130.104
4 port - VLAN131 - 192.168.131.103 - 192.168.131.104
1 Swells Dell PowerConnect 6224 - 24 port
on Switch 2 VLAN- and 130 to 131
To separate storage and management separately, since there are only 2 LUNs
