How to properly handle images in Wordpress?

There is a multisite system.
I limited the volume, set the image compression, but the problem is that there is no limit on the size of the image (not on the volume). How to make it so that when filling in any image, we get a thumbnail+medium+large output, and everything else is deleted?

The Imsanity plugin has settings for reducing the size of the original up to its removal.

If I understand correctly, you want the original image not to be saved on the server, but only reduced copies?
I'm processing images with a batch process template in photoshop. I reduce the size of the images to large in the WordPress settings, only then I upload them to the server

You can see how this plugin works https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-image-size-limit/
It seems to do what you need, but it hasn't been updated for 2 years.
