How to properly export an image map from vector paths?

Adobe Illustrator

There is a PSD with an administrative map of Russia.
Inside the vector contours of the subjects of the federation and districts:

When you click on the Vector Smart Object, Illustrator opens:


How to export this to an Image Map?

I opened it in Fireworks, and:

• Magic Wand per district

Edit -> Insert -> Hotspot

Further Export and received client image map with polygons.

But there is probably a more normal way than selecting already vectorized areas with a magic wand?

I use a jsx script to solve a similar problem, only for photoshop from here: iam.andyhawkes.co.uk/post/1319372215/easy-photosho...
It automatically converts all paths (Path) to imagemap coordinates.
In your case, it's easier to translate the shapes into paths and export them in bulk.
