How to properly connect Firebase in Vue.js?

In what folders/files should I write Firebase scripts so that they are compiled inside the head tag?
I managed to implement authentication using examples from the repository in the public/index.html file, but I understand that this is not correct, because why then are Firebase modules installed and dependencies written in json.
