How to properly charge a Macbook Pro?

Hello
Yes, I read related topics on the toaster and did not find a clear answer
. Opinions are divided into two camps:
1) Keep it on charge all the time, the battery will still glue the fins in a year
2) Discharge to 40% and charge up to 100%
Is there any off confirmation of any from paradigms?
I do not like that with constant charging, the case gets very hot.
But on the other hand, the number of battery recharges will increase greatly if you constantly charge and discharge
. What tell me?

When I bought my Air in 2012, I used it every day from 9 am to 6 pm. I called Apple, they told me this: use it always on charge, once a month, discharge the battery to zero and everything will be zae ... good. I took their advice and used the laptop both at work for about two years with the charger always on, and using the battery at home in bed. At the moment (4 years have passed), I have 500 cycles, instead of the original 7 hours, it lasts 3-4 hours. I don't know if this is normal or bad, you decide.

charge as you like, the battery does not die for a year, usually three years until the moment when the charge ceases to suit me or it swells.

Every day for 12 hours of work from the outlet. Discharge up to 40% or less, no more than once a month.

In general, it doesn’t matter, when fully discharged, your laptop will turn off at 10-15% already by the controller and at the same time shut down safely, Apple keeps the subtleties of its devices a secret, it is likely that they immediately turn on by default and charging is not 100%, as for example, the Samsung included a function in which the battery was charged by 80% and this type extended its life.
I have a macbook pro 13 late 2013, it has been living at work for me for the second year instead of a system unit, the battery is still alive, not so long ago I used it when I was reviewing my code with a friend in a cafe. True, he used to live for about 9 hours at 70% brightness, Wi-Fi, a browser and a text editor, now he lives for 7 hours, well, I don’t worry too much, if he dies, then I’ll buy a new one, people on iPhone 4s die batteries - they replace them and live further. It’s more scary now on new laptops for SSD overwriting cycles, on a new dvenashka I have everything soldered into the mainland, on a 2013 flash drive a removable disk. Well, even if it dies after 6 years, then I will find where to adapt it, I will boot the system from an external hard drive, I will make a server out of it.

I'll share a picture too. The device is almost three years old. Mostly on charging, occasionally for an hour autonomously, full discharge about once every one and a half to two months. It makes no sense to constantly drive charge-discharge for the sake of indicators. They say it's more important not to overheat and not keep the battery completely discharged. Ideal - ventilated stand.

In my opinion, which of the options to use is not so critical.
And there, and there, no one will give you a guarantee that the battery will not die young.
I use the laptop in exactly the same way as Ilya wrote - every day more than 10 hours from the network, charging / discharging once a month. Everything was great, but the hot summer came, and the battery decided to take a break too.
As a result, at 344 charge cycles, it already needs to be replaced. And the laptop holds 3, maximum 4 hours.
Therefore, from my experience, it is more important not to overheat the battery.

Air 2013
lasts up to 5 hours. Constantly on charge for half a year. Before that, I discharged up to 30-40%, and for charging

macbook is constantly on a cord, for 8 months it discharged 4-5 times in total.
screenshot result.
I think I won’t bother anymore with the issue of charging and discharging, let it be as it is

And if the tablet has been lying without turning on for 5-7 years since the purchase, what will happen to the battery and will the tablet turn on? tablet - some kind of old iPad (according to the model), but in the package.

I will share too.
But maybe I didn't do it right.
Charged when the charge dropped by 0-5% . go to 100%. Didn't keep it online.
It works almost the same on a charge (in time).

Calibrate sometimes as it says here https://support.apple.com/ru-ru/HT1490 (before there was even a calendar, once a month a reminder - discharge the battery, enjoy life without wires).
I also took a steam bath at first, but now my laptop is 4.5 years old and it holds up well. I keep it mostly on charge, because a lot of heavy things are running. It gets hot too, especially when it's hot. Delivered smcFanControl for cooling. Yes, it makes noise, but it does not burn your hands. Stands with fans do not really save the situation, because there are no holes at the bottom.
When the charge stops satisfying, buy a new battery on ebay. You are working on it (laptop). It doesn't cost much.

Thanks everyone for the info! For myself, I made the following conclusion: if you work with heavy applications and do not strain to connect the cable, then work from the network. Once a month, you can discharge and charge the battery (although on new devices, as they say, it makes no sense to do this). Most importantly - The optimum operating temperature for your MacBook is 10 to 35°C. Storage temperature: -20 to +45 °C. On hot sunny days and working in heavy programs when the computer heats up, it is better to work on battery power and not charge it 100%.
Here is my laptop which I have been using for about 7-8 months. It seems to me that the batteries somehow ate too much.
The first 20 cycles I had discharges up to 50% approximately, the last 10 in different ways and 100% and 20% happen.
What do you think?
