Good afternoon. Is there any legitimate way to find out the number of indexed pages in search engines? Not by direct parsing of SERPs? Maybe some api?

Approximately you can find out directly in the search engine. Enter through the operator in the search site:site.ru - instead of your site.ru. You will get approximately the number of pages - it will be indicated at the top, under the search bar.
