How to program a mobile application?

At work I was instructed to make an application. To be honest, I was only glad, I have long dreamed of learning how to code them. Installed intellej ide installed java sdk. Already, java made hello world and chat from swag. And then I find out that it turns out that there is some kind of cordova with the usual html js css that are very familiar to me, and it turns out that this is all cross-platform. Felt cheated. Why did you study Java? Or maybe there are pitfalls? Any advice on where to stay?

Depends on the task. If a utilitarian application without whistles, then Cordova is very good.
I advise you to look at ionic.io I do https://DebtsTracker.io/
on it and I am quite satisfied. I don’t think that I would have pulled the same thing alone on a native for 3 platforms, even on Xamarin.

java not html. you can't learn in a week. Ionic is advised above, but he is on Angular. also can not be mastered in a week. if you know the second angular, then the process is very fast
