How to process AJAX request in Bitrix?

Good evening. For several hours I have been trying to google and find an example of an ajax request on Bitrix, but I can’t find anything worthwhile. I need to send a request to my php script in the folder with the component when clicked. I tried to do it myself, according to some examples, nothing comes out. If anyone has an implementation example, please share, thanks in advance.
