How to preview doc file in browser?

Use case is like this: you open a website page, for example, in VK, and there are a bunch of doc files. You need to look at each and find the one you need, but to be honest, I was tired of downloading and deleting. Only interested in viewing. No additional functionality is required.
Googling, I found an extension called Open With Google Drive Viewer, but it opens the xml code that precedes the download. (file from VK)
Ideally, if it opens in the same way as pdf opens in chrome.

and pdf in chrome is loaded into the local cache. you just don't know about it.
with all desire, it is impossible to organize a "preview" from the user side if the server does not provide you with such an opportunity.
except to write a plugin for chrome, which will simply do the same thing, but for doc files.
