How to predict the next numerical value from the previous ones?

There is a file with several thousand fractional numeric values (example 1.02, 4.05, 2.13). The data is taken from the chart on one site and is constantly updated. Is there any way to predict the next n+1 value from thousands of previous ones if the data is not tied to anything. Only numbers. The topic is a complete teapot, so please do not judge strictly

There is a whole science about it. "Time series", like, is called. There are a bunch of all sorts of models, such as ARIMA .

Do you want to know if you can predict winning numbers in sportsloto?
Can. But not to you. And the fact that you have floating numbers doesn't change anything.

Yes, it is quite possible.
Google: "ML prediction"

And you definitely will not be satisfied with the forecast "in 15 seconds it will be the same as now"? The most reliable short-term forecast for almost everything. Truly useless.

You need to know what kind of data it is, because prediction algorithms, more precisely, approximations and ML, have already been invented for various kinds of data. For example, if these are stock quotes, then the analysis of candlestick patterns will give a more accurate forecast.
