How to power the cooler from the processor through a third-party adapter (for example, from a smartphone)?
In general, there is a cooler from the processor itself (Cooler Master brand, DC: 12V, 0.25 amperes). I took it out of the computer and I want it to serve me now as a mini-fan. I took a power adapter with a non-removable wire from a Nokia phone, which gives 5.7V / 800 Mach at the output. I connected the cooler to the adapter, red wire to red, black to black, there is also yellow, I did not connect it anywhere. I plugged the whole thing into an outlet, and the cooler started to rotate, but rather weakly, I think at the lowest speeds, the breeze is light. What is the essence of the question - how to increase the speed of the cooler and in what way, do you need a more powerful power adapter for this?

To increase the fan speed you need a power adapter or a 12V boost converter.
The higher the voltage, the higher the rpm.
