How to power a stepper motor in the simplest way?

I have several drives from hard drives. The goal is to run them in uncontrolled mode, that is, just like a simple DC motor: give power, it works. I can’t find adequate options anywhere, everywhere they offer to assemble a CNC with LPT control. There is a driver for ULN2003A 421850938.jpg- will it help in this matter? If not, how else can I implement my idea? It is desirable that the connection diagram be as simple as possible, I found a connection through the TDA5140, but such microcircuits are not sold anywhere.

To control a stepper motor, it is necessary to generate signals of a certain shape and VERY IMPORTANT with certain temporal characteristics. Just a power driver ULN2003 is not enough. The easiest option is to take a simple controller or Arduino and one of these microcircuits: L297, MC3479. They allow you not to think about which motor winding to apply which potential. But you still can’t do without a controller (the option with a multivibrator, decoder, or some other logic is obviously more complicated than an arduino).
Here is an approximate instruction for use: we.easyelectronics.ru/yakuzaa/delaem-kontroller-sh...
Here they do without auxiliary microcircuits, with L297 or MC3479 it is enough just to pull the controller with one foot to make the engine rotate.

Doesn't this option work?HDD_TDA5140A.gif

I just can’t find tda5140 anywhere, I don’t have them (
