How to power a large number of Arduino modules?

If the number of modules is quite large, while the modules will consume quite a lot, then it is possible to power them not through the arduino board, but separately from 5 volts? Let's say from the ATX PSU?

It is not possible, but rather, you need a separate power supply. Just do not forget to connect their land.
