How to play mp3 with ruby, cross platform?

I sincerely dream of extracting sounds with hacks. Googled that you can use mplayer for this. It is possible, but under Windows I can’t agree with him, he doesn’t want to work in slavemode. I did not think that such a simple task could not be googled and solved in 5 minutes.
