As of 03/16/22, Apple Pay managed to renew the subscription as follows:
1. I ALREADY had a subscription, of course it was stopped due to recent events.
2. In the iPhone settings, I added a new payment method via a mobile phone (if I have MTS): Settings -> Apple ID -> Payment and delivery
3. Topped up my mobile account
4. In the iPhone settings, extended my YouTube Premium subscription: Settings -> Apple ID -> Subscriptions (money was deducted from the mobile account)
