I have always been interested in this question. Right now 1 bitcoin costs 19k bucks. OK. And how to use it then??? Let's say I want to buy socks for $1, i.e. I will have to pay: 0.00005263157. To say it's not convenient is an understatement.

Matter of habit. It can be measured in millibitcoins or satoshi.
People get used to everything. In Zimbabwe, money was accepted by weight, and bills of billions of dollars were used.
