How to pass html to json for Google Charts?

I form json for uploading to Google Chart ( https://developers.google.com/chart/interactive/do... ) - I draw a table; at the same time, I would like the rows in the table to be with html code.
If I use tags inside a string, the code does not work, the table is not shown (apparently, json is not valid). Googled, it is advised to use the json_encode php function, it escapes and converts invalid characters; however, in the end, nothing works; Looks like Google Chart doesn't accept this format.
