How to partition Postgresql by day?

PostgreSQL 9.3. How to partition? I've seen the manuals... But it follows from them that there is no partitioning in postgres? Simply on the trigger new tables? How then to work with them?
Can you help me find a suitable material for a teapot?

You will access the main table, and postgres will pull you out of the required partition
