How to partition disk for linux + W10 with UEFI manually?

Hello. Worth W10, BIOS with UEFI function. I install Kubuntu, when it comes to partitioning the disk, kubuntu suggests taking up the whole disk. Naturally, I put "manually" to break it myself. I create a paging file and the main partition in ext4 format from an unallocated file. I reboot - linux is not loaded. Next time I try to erase everything and create these 2 partitions + EFI partition. Nothing again. Then I notice that there is a request where to install Boot Loader. Tried it on both dev/sda and main partition and EFI partition. It still does not boot after installing Linux, there is no grub, as on an old laptop, so that the laptop asks me: Linux or Windows. Question: how to create these same partitions so that Linux boots after installation and reboot in the end?

You need to use the already created (Windows creates it) EFI partition as /boot and install the bootloader there. However, now I can’t imagine what’s going on on your disk after all the manipulations you described and attempts to install the bootloader anywhere.

Linux does not boot justifiably, it does not overwrite the W10 bootloader. Therefore, its settings must be edited to specify the start point of the Linux bootloader

help.ubuntu.ru/wiki/%D1%80%D1%83%D0%BA%D0%BE%D0%B2... here you can find comprehensive information about installing Ubuntu on computers with UEFI boards. I had something similar for a long time, the Boot-repair utility described in this article helped.

I had the same bug. I decided simply: I prepared a section in advance)
