How to override a function in the EloquentUserProvider class?

Hello.
Can anyone suggest how you can override the retrieveById function in the EloquentUserProvider class
. You need to add join to the request.
I don't quite understand how this can be done...

Create your own provider that inherits from EloquentUserProvider, register and override to your heart's content.
