How to overcome the splash-screen "restrict autostart" glitch for android-8 when first launching applications from the google market?

When you first start many, but not all applications from the Google Market, a screen pops up asking you to allow / deny autostart, which affects the battery life.
With any choice: "no", "yes with a checkmark", "yes without a checkmark", all this text disappears, but the white background square remains in the center and covers half of the screen. I could not figure out how to remove it - I have to reboot.
Android 8 on TCL A1 aka Alcatel A501DL out of the box without root.
Googling for some of the keywords on the first search screens doesn't turn up anything similar.
What words to drive into Google or where to read about this muck?
