Actually the question is how to extend the session or how to avoid this error without restarting the application?

Given that when the application is running in an iframe, the portal itself helps to extend the session, the most obvious possibility is that you are not using the session passed to the application, but are caching the old value in localstorage, for example, and in some cases using the wrong session.
