How to output XLS file?

Hello!
Parsing of xls files is required.
The choice fell on PHPExcel, but 100 kb files are parsed up to 30 seconds.
What could be the problem? Are there any faster libraries?

well, there is a problem. didn’t deal with it, put gearman and didn’t take a steam bath - there was no urgency in this parsing.
https://github.com/nuovo/spreadsheet-reader - this library took 8-12 hours to parse one file (10-20mb files)
in general, it's better to post the code. you are not the first to have such problems, some just don't know how to use it
