How to organize synchronization between a stationary PC and a laptop?
I have a laptop and a stationary candy bar. I want to synchronize their work in the most convenient way so that
I can switch between personal computers without unnecessary actions. In principle, synchronization of some folders can be set up with Yandex disk or Dropbox, bookmarks and browser extensions are synchronized through an account. But I would like to hear the full story, how other programmers do it.
Additionally, it would be cool to figure out:
1) How to add a small netbook-tablet to all this
2) Add a working stationary PC that I can use so as not to constantly travel with a laptop
3) Is it possible to add a smartphone?
4) Are there any solutions taking into account different operating systems (now there are two systems on the laptop: Windows and Linux, because both are needed)

There is a free and simple option:
Btsync

fumble a folder on one computer, connect it on others - and that's it.
This folder will be the same on all computers.
There is a client on your mobile phone, it does not upload the entire folder to your mobile, but only selected parts (you can do it all, if you don’t mind the place)
Data does not fly away to the clouds, everything is stored only on your devices.
The thing is very nimble and works great with bad channels.
It synchronizes files block by block - that is, if you change a couple of bytes in a giant file, the entire file will not be re-downloaded.
But if you catch a ransomware virus on one computer, the files in this folder will be encrypted and you will see the same encrypted from other computers :)
it works very simply - Microsoft Surface book 3 is more powerful with an external monitor and a
smartphone keyboard at the same time - alas, yes and no by definition,
well, or look at how Apple synchronizes everything - that's where it is only implemented, better no one has come up with yet
Switch to Apple There it all works from the box ... including files, open projects, applications, unfinished SMS, etc., etc.
Then you raise the necessary OS on the virtual machine - profit, everything works without unnecessary nerves and body movements.
On Windows, I have not seen such integration.
Well, or the RDP option ... like a spike
