How to organize soft-activation of the DFU mode in your firmware for Ubertooth-one?

Hello.
I am writing my own firmware for the Ubertooth-One device .
The device is already loaded with a bootloader that accepts firmware in DFU mode.
The standard firmware that is included in the developer kit allows you to programmatically switch the device to DFU mode with the command
# ubertooth-util -f
How to enable this feature in your firmware, since doing it in hardware is not convenient and harmful?
