How to organize programmatic loading and storage of images on a third-party service?

Such a task is worth it.
In the visual editor, through which the content for the site pages will be filled and edited, you need to upload images to a third-party service, from which these images will then be read when displayed to site visitors.
Choosing a WYSIWYG editor is not a problem, but which service for uploading and storing pictures should you choose? So that they could be loaded programmatically, via the API? It seems to be possible to do this on Amazon services, but I have not yet figured out how.

Use Amazon S3 compatible services. It has a simple API and has many open source client libraries in various languages.
