How to organize audio chat in the browser?

Actually a subject. I want to implement push-to-talk audio chat in a browser for up to 10 people.
Advise in which direction to dig. I watched WebRTC, but as I understand it, this is only a browser-browser connection.

Look at my example of an audio / video chat , it has FreeSwitch on the backend, which is able to work not only with browsers, but also with regular phones, since it is a software PBX.
