How to organize a kind of media center on a VPS?
Good day to the community. In general, the essence is that there is a VPS with 512MB of RAM (can be expanded up to 1GB) and 1 Gigabit port. I installed it on VPS Transmission and tried to download a movie - it downloaded in just seconds, which is very pleasing. But how to watch this movie now? How can I stream it to my home PC or TV or any other device? I heard about Plex, but this business needs a full-fledged computer (dedicated), not a VPS. Maybe there are other options? Thanks in advance.

You put any Dlna server and watch from the player that supports it.
This is how serviio works for me, it distributes it to the TV, and to mobile phones, and to the computer.
You need some kind of vod service. The best option is nginx + kaltura
https://github.com/kaltura/nginx-vod-module
Do not do this, because of this, a claim from copyright holders for hosting may come, and it will block you. I had to figure it out because of vpn traffic, but here storage ...
In general, I did this:
1. Installed and configured Nginx
2. Installed Transmission, which downloads directly to the Nginx folder (var/www/html)
3. Open PotPlayer --> Open address --> Insert ipvps/nazvaniefilma.mkv
4. On mobile via AVC
Voila, everything flies
And now the question. How is it different from Plex and how is Plex more convenient?
Well, or above, one guy advised Nginx + Kaltura
And it can also, like a variant through vpn, go to a shared folder and watch through any player)
And I downloaded the image of crapology and it started on proxmox, a full-fledged NAS - everything is super...
