How to optimize v-for in vue?

Not so long ago I was at an interview and there I was asked a question about optimizing lists in Vue.js, they told me that when adding new elements to vue, it is possible not to re-render old elements, thereby increasing performance. Actually the question is how to do it? Google didn't help T_T
