How to optimize a database query to speed up search results?

There is a VPS (2 cores, 2 gigs), CentOS 7 is installed on it. Apache + nginx is installed. php 7.2, mariadb 10.2 database. The OkayCMS online store engine is installed. When you enter three characters in the search string, you have to wait a long time for an answer so that a window with positions for the entered article symbols appears. How can I make it show instantly?
Can optimize queries to the database? If yes, then plz tell me.
