How to open images from the desired folder on the server in Wordpress in the media manager?

There is a folder with pictures. In my particular case, this is the /wp-content/uploads/images folder.
It is necessary for the user to edit the page in viz. the editor could insert a picture from this folder on the page.
By default, WP opens a gallery of pictures uploaded through the admin panel.

The Add From Server plugin might come in handy .
It allows you to import files from a folder on the server into WordPress media files.

The media manager doesn't work with files directly - it can only upload media files to wp-content/uploads and add them to the database with the "attachment" type, which you can then work with in the editor.
