How to open *.eml files?

Partners often send emails with *.eml attachments. You can extract useful information from it (attached files), for example, through The Bat. This is quite inconvenient (some users cannot do it at all). Is there a program to quickly extract information from *.eml with an intuitive interface?

.eml is a regular letter in the form of text. You can open it with a regular text editor (notepad, for example), but not only the letter itself will open, but also the letter headers and other ugly things.
