How to open a second terminal from a terminal with a command?
Good day!
I am writing a small script for myself, the following question arose: You
need to open a second terminal window with the command being executed.
That is, in the main window of the script, all files are being transferred, vpn is being raised, and so on, that is, as a result, only echo lines are shown after executing commands. But there are several tasks that are already stuffed into .sh scripts, and they also need to be run, but in a separate terminal window, so as not to spoil the view of the main window. And it is desirable that after execution these windows close themselves. Question - how to do it?
And a related question, is it possible to pull out lines with the status of this process from the adjacent terminal window as a result of the systemctl status [email protected]*** and ***.service commands, it seems to be written there either active (running), or something similar), it is necessary this is also a drag and drop to the main terminal window.
