How to open a link in a modal window in nuxt?

Hi, please tell me,
I have a page with the path /events/ on which there is a list of events.
I need to make sure that by clicking on an event information about it opens in a modal window.
At the same time, I want the /events/{id} path to change in the address bar.
And when you click on this link, a modal window should open again.
What is the best way to do this? Really create 2 pages? /pages/events/index.vue and /pages/events/_id.vue Is there any other approach?
