How to number ports on a switch?

Hi all!
In general, such a situation. At a new job, a cisco switch turned up, until they found it, until they changed it, until all the switches were restarted, it took half a day. And all because no one has written a doc :(
Now I need to write a doc of how the network works at work. The general idea and structure is OK! I found out everything, walked around, looked and wrote it down :) (nests?) are numbered (8P8C - A001, example), but nothing is written on the switch (what kind of connector is this), and I want to add this.
And so the question! How can I do it better to find out which port on the switch is assigned to which connector (socket).
There is no access to cisco at all, yes, yes, an epic, he himself is in shock (do not ask why, I did not do it, this is a fool client). Is it really only left to disconnect from the switch via the 1st cable and go look around the offices where there is no network?
Thank you and sorry for the mess!

@Tim3

there is a program, search on the network, pings all computers at the given IP addresses, when you pull out the cord you will see which IP the ping does not go to
