How to move a django project from local machine to server?

Yes, yes, yes...
I'm sure the actions have already been described a million times and I have read many different options.
However, I want to get up-to-date information, so to speak, a modern approach.
Everyone writes "get rid of apache, install nginx! Be a fucking man...!!" etc.
However, the question arose - is it worth it if the project is new and I do not assume yet that there will be over 9000 users visiting a day.
Actually I want to hear what means \\ ways to transfer the local project to the server now. The database is empty, I'll fill it on the server. At the moment there is a VDS with Apache version 2.2.14. costs ubuntu 10.04. another php project is currently running on this server. If it is unavoidable to install nginx, will it not affect the running project? hosting firstvds if that matters. Full ssh access. I use postgres database.
Please, if possible, write down step by step what needs to be done.

You can also use Apache. Detailed and up-to-date instructions are in the official documentation.
