How to monitor gre tunnel in Mikrotik?

Good afternoon. SNMP has such a parameter as ifOperStatus for interfaces. There is a GRE tunnel and while everything is working, status = up . But under what situations can it go to down (not counting its shutdown)? There is a situation when the tunnel seems to work, but the traffic does not go. Helps off / on GRE interfaces and cleaning connections. In such situation there will be status down ?
