How to migrate from Mysql 5.1 to PerconaDB?

Please tell me how to switch to PerconaDB with saving data? I found a couple of manuals, they write something like this: "demolish mysql, install percon". Not a word about data.

However, the recording speed after switching from 5.1 to 5.5 fell 4-5 times. After switching to Percona, there was no improvement in recording. Read/modify with excellent performance
