How to manually clear the cache of opencart 1.5.5?

Hey! The client has a site on an old opencart and I see that a lot of things have accumulated in the cache folder. Question - if you completely clean the folder, will everything fall apart? The last time, when trying to install and use vkmod, we caught a white screen of death, so I want to do everything manually.
Another point - the client uses unloading from 1s, in one of the porridge folders there are 2 files in xml, regarding 1s unloading. are they needed or can they be removed as well?

Yes, nothing should collapse, that's why it's a cache.
but why clean it just like that I don't understand
