How to manage Assets connection out of the box in Laravel?

By default, in Laravel, all assets are compiled into one file.
But it often happens that for different pages you need to connect different plugins, and some pages work only with common assets.
How does it break down?
How convenient is it to connect the necessary scripts and styles to the desired template/action?
And a practical one.
I downloaded the bootstrap plugin, in which folder should I put it? run through elexir or not?
I am writing my own javascript to the template, where should I put it? How to connect correctly?
