How to make windows display network names correctly?

There are 2 pieces of iron with samba on board.
1st was originally called MEGATRON. She kept everything. One of the directories is constantly in use. For acceleration and practicality, we decided to raise a second piece of hardware with samba on high-speed screws for this directory. Since everyone had it configured via a network drive by a network name, I had to rename the old one to ALIEN, and assign the new one to MEGATRON.
For a while, everything seemed to be fine, there were no particular complaints. But, it didn't last long. Now a funny situation, both pieces of iron are visible on the network, and if you check by name (NBTStat -c for example), then everything is returned correctly, but if you knock on the network environment and by name, then it switches to the old renamed piece of iron. And not just for one client.
No matter how I mocked cache flushes and all that, all in vain. Samba configs are checked several times.
The simplest solution is to go by ip, but it's too simple)

If you go to the "Network Neighborhood" (W'XP) folder, folder caches are stored there. Delete them.
And check what is there with DNS - ping, nslookup. I think that's the point.
