How to make the Deluge torrent client (Ubuntu OS) download directly to an external hard drive (gyi 3.0)?

There is a laptop, a Seagate usb 3.0 hard drive, used as a dump for movies and cartoons for a media player, deluge refuses to download torrents directly to an external drive, you have to first download to an internal one and then upload it to an external one, which takes a lot of extra time. what needs to be done so that deluge immediately downloads to an external drive?

Set the default save folder in the settings.
In ~/.config/deluge/core.conf
"download_location": "/media/MyPreciousFlashdrive/Downloads"
Either in the GUI

I did this from the very beginning, the torrent gets on the download, but does not swing.
