How to make such htaccess?

Hello! Guys, who will help, I need to rename opencarte with CNC products to catalog. But apparently, since there is already such a Folder in the root of opencarta, then a request to site.ru/catalog will issue - Forbidden. You don't have permission to access /catalog/ on this server.
Question - how to set up such a cnc? I think that you need to somehow configure access in htaccess so that there is no direct request to the folder .. thanks in advance!
